Halo Infinite Won’t Be Delayed Again According to 343

343 Industries Doesn’t Want to Delay Halo Infinite Again

While rumors have circulated that Halo Infinite may be delayed into 2022, 343 Industries has put those rumors to rest. Currently, 343 Industries has no plans to change the Halo Infinite release past 2021 after already being hit by a delay due to development issues. The developers at 343 Industries are apparently working to build Halo Infinite optimally for each device and platform that it’s planned for. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available right now for Xbox One, PC, and through the extensive Game Pass lineup for fans to catch up on the series before the 2021 release of Halo Infinite.

“We’re seeing lots of fake ‘leaks’ out there, so please don’t believe everything you read,” said 343 community manager John Junyszek. “There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we’ll be supporting. We’re building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform.” While it’s normal for a community manager to put rumors to rest, it’s also unlikely that the game would be delayed into 2022 after just recently being delayed until 2021 when it was originally expected during the 2020 holiday season.

According to a Microsoft insider, Halo Infinite may not be releasing for the Xbox One next year, and it could just be available for the Xbox Series X. While this may have owners of the current-gen hardware disappointed, many Halo fans just want what’s best for the next-gen Halo title. The same report that claimed the Xbox One version of Halo Infinite was being canceled also claimed that 343 Industries is considering another delay for the upcoming Halo title.
