Modern Warfare Outback Relief Pack Contributing to Australian Bushfire Relief
Infinity Ward has announced on their official Twitter page that all of the proceeds earned through Modern Warfare’s Outback Pack would be donated to combat the fires in Australia. The pack was originally released as a standard pack but after some fan feedback, Activision and Infinity Ward ensured the proceeds will go to Australian bushfire relief, including the money the bundle has already raised. The Outback Pack is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4 until January 31st and it costs 1800 COD Points, which is roughly equal to $20.
The Outback Pack contains an extra skin for your soldier, an exclusive sniper rifle weapon variant, a Koala weapon charm, one free battle pass tier skip, a “Try Harder” sticker, some Outback gun art, a new finishing move and the “hungry” operator quip. The announcement of all of the proceeds going to Australian bushfire relief comes at a time where Australia is facing a climate crisis as large swaths of land have been violently ablaze for months. Unfortunately, the pack is only available until the end of this month, rather than when the bushfire crisis is resolved. We hope they’re able to make a sizable donation to Australian bushfire relief.
“As part of our efforts to help provide relief to the devastating bushfires in Australia, we’re donating 100% of Activision’s net proceeds from each purchase of the Outback Pack, which we’ve renamed to the Outback Relief Pack. Across all platforms through January 31st, if you’ve already purchased the Outback Pack, thank you,” says the recent Tweet from Infinity Ward. “Your purchase will count toward donation. From everyone at Infinity Ward, Call of Duty and Activision, thank you for your consideration. Out hearts go out to all those who have been affected.”
