Leaked Image Shows the Potential Size of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo
According to Reddit user Frocharocha, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo will have a whopping 22.54 GB install size in the 1.0 version. A screenshot from what seems to be a PlayStation menu includes the file size information, alongside the parental control details and the download status of the demo. Although the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo isn’t live on the PlayStation Network to most gamers, this screenshot looks legitimate and gameplay footage has already leaked online. Final Fantasy 7 Remake releases exclusively for the PS4 on March 3rd but no release date has been announced for the demo yet.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo’s file size was leaked in a screenshot shared on one of the PlayStation 4 subreddits and Reddit users were quick to point out how large the installation is. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, for example, was only around 15 GB in total after downloading the game and this number includes a day-one patch to go along with it. Some people mentioned in the comments that demos sometimes consist of more than just the playable part in the download and that might be the case with the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.
While most gamers are waiting impatiently for the upcoming March 3rd release date of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, some Reddit users are insisting on hacks for answers about how to play the demo, but we certainly don’t advocate for such drastic measures. Although the leaked footage of the demo has us really hyped for the Remake, we’re willing to wait until the demo is officially released to check it out.
