The Last State of Play of 2019 Has Been Announced for December 10th
PlayStation recently announced through their official Twitter account that the last State of Play of 2019 will take place on December 10th. The event promises over twenty minutes of news, games and updates. Apparently the event will take place on December 10th at 6 AM Pacific time so if you’re living on the west coast, you’ll have to get up early for the news. State of Play is typically known for including gameplay footage, new trailers and sometimes release dates for upcoming games so it looks like PlayStation is ending 2019 with a bang.
With next week beginning with new PlayStation news, we’re curious to see how Xbox and Nintendo will keep gamers curious about what’s to come in 2020. As Dreams is ending its early access phase tomorrow, it’s possible we’ll get more news regarding the official release date for the Media Molecule creation game. Although we won’t know what PlayStation has cooking for the next State of Play, it would be nice to see more of Insomniac Games’ next title and more gameplay of Ghost of Tsushima. It’s more likely we’ll see more on titles releasing sooner such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake and The Last of Us Part II however.
With the next State of Play coming in a matter of days, it’s relevant to mention that The Last of Us Part II was featured as part of the last event despite the release of the game being pushed back to accommodate the PS5’s launch. State of Play isn’t limited to only first-party games as select few third-party titles have been included during such events in the past.
What games do you hope to see showcased on the next State of Play? How will Xbox and Nintendo respond to the year ending event? Let us know in the comments below!
