Check Out the Latest Trailer of Veil of Madness
Veil of Madness has opened the door to its disturbing world with a brand-new playable demo, giving horror fans an early chance to experience its unique mix of first-person exploration, psychological horror, and deckbuilding.
Developed by Wandering Wizard and Stormling Studios, the upcoming game also received a new trailer alongside the demo. The trailer offers a closer look at the game’s eerie environments, card-based combat, exploration, and unsettling psychological themes. Adding another layer of atmosphere, its voiceover and captions appear entirely in R’lyehian, the fictional language from H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos.
In Veil of Madness, players step into the role of a doctor who enters the mind of a patient trapped in a coma. What initially appears to be a medical mystery soon takes a much darker turn as reality, memories, and nightmares begin to blur together. Players must explore the patient’s surreal mental landscape as they uncover the truth behind her mysterious transformation.
The game combines first-person exploration with strategic deckbuilding. Players can discover new cards, upgrade their abilities, and carefully manage their inventory while facing increasingly terrifying creatures. They can find some cards in secret locations, while others require them to complete specific quests, making exploration an important part of progression.
The new demo offers a promising glimpse at this unusual horror experience and lets players experience its mystery and combat firsthand.
Veil of Madness is currently scheduled to launch in 2026, while the new demo is available on Steam now. For horror fans looking for something a little different, this one is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
