At its core, Esophaguys is a celebration of cooperative and competitive fun. In Couch Co-op Mode, up to four players can join forces or face off in unpredictable multiplayer challenges. They will use neck-powered mechanics to solve puzzles, swing through levels, and cause hilarious mayhem. Minigame Mode offers frantic arena battles and bizarre neck-centric team sports. At the same time, Story Mode guides players through a narrated quest to rediscover their forgotten heritage. All while unlocking the secrets of their elastic anatomy.
For those seeking a serious challenge, Masochist Mode offers brutal, checkpoint-free levels where only the most determined neck stretchers survive. Progress across all modes is tracked through a shared Hub World. It is a place where players rebuild the monuments of their lost civilization and uncover new outfits for their long-necked elders.
Adding to its charm is a truly unique soundscape. The game features over 4,000 mouth-made sound effects and a soundtrack centered on traditional and experimental jaw harp music from around the world.
