Escape From Tarkov Is Coming to Steam Very Soon

A Wider Audience for Escape From Tarkov

Escape From Tarkov is preparing for a major milestone, as Battlestate Games teases the game’s long-awaited arrival on Steam. For years, players have asked when the hardcore survival shooter would make its way to the platform, and now it appears the wait is nearly over. A first look at the Steam page was recently shared, hinting at what’s to come.

The timing lines up with the full 1.0 release of Escape From Tarkov, which is launching on 15th November 2025. Development lead Nikita Buyanov confirmed that the Steam page is on the way, offering a preview that shows Tarkov listed as an action game, complete with screenshots and a trailer from the current 0.16 version. The developers will likely update these materials as the full release approaches.

This news has sparked discussion among the community, particularly around pricing. Tarkov has only been available through the Battlestate Games launcher until now, where purchasing often came with additional costs. Steam could make the game more accessible, but many current players remain uncertain about whether their existing copies will transfer or whether they must purchase it again. Buyanov has promised to share more details soon, which should clarify how ownership will work across platforms.

Meanwhile, Battlestate Games has been showcasing Escape From Tarkov at PAX, where attendees have tried out Terminal, the final map, along with an updated build featuring some of the launch content. While official announcements remain limited, the upcoming release on Steam signals that Tarkov’s long journey toward full launch is nearing its end.
