Hop Aboard The Choo Choo Survivor 2

Indie developer GTGD has opened the tracks for all with the public playtest of Choo Choo Survivor 2, now available on Steam for both PC and Mac. Players can hop in by visiting the game’s official page and clicking “Request Access.”

Choo Choo Survivor 2 is a top-down action roguelite that blends horde survival with strategic upgrades. Drawing inspiration from titles like Vampire Survivors and Dome Keeper, it delivers a fast-paced experience centered around zombie-infested railways.

Players can choose from various locomotives, each with unique auxiliary systems, while wielding independent primary weapons. During each run, you’ll gather resources, fight through waves, and build custom train setups. Defeating the optional Relic Keeper boss unlocks extra systems, while shops provide upgrades, supplies, and even survivors to strengthen your convoy.

The environment is fully destructible as well. Players can flatten buildings to reduce zombie spawns and clear their path. Gold, steel, and rescued survivors form the core of your resource pool, with each scattered throughout procedurally generated tracks. Every journey is unpredictable: select one of three routes at the start, plan your strategy, and battle your way toward the final boss. With escalating danger and strategic depth, no two runs are alike.

The game also supports ultra-wide resolutions (up to 5120×1440), rebindable controls, and one-handed play via accessibility settings. Players can personalize visuals with multiple color schemes.

The full release promises five bosses, ten unlockable locomotives, ten primary weapons, and over ten auxiliary systems, offering rich replayability and endless train-based mayhem.
