Strategy Game Company of Heroes 3 Has Been Delayed Into 2023
SEGA and developers, Relic Entertainment, have officially announced that their upcoming strategy title, Company of Heroes 3, has been delayed. The game was set to be released on November 17th, 2022, however for various reasons, the companies pushed the release to February 23rd, 2023. Interested fans can pre-order the game’s Deluxe or Standard Editions on PC here.
Besides confirming the release date, in its press release, the developers stated that the purpose of the delay is to, “…deliver the best game possible, and we feel that we are not there yet. Your feedback helped guide our decision to ensure CoH3 is up to the high standards of both the development team and our players… work on overall improvements, balancing, and fine-tuning of CoH 3 to ensure the game will meet player expectations and deliver the deepest tactical experience in the series yet.”
Furthermore, the developers have confirmed that they will support the game post-launch and that players that pre-ordered the game will not be affected. Moreover, the developers have introduced a lot of changes to the game since its reveal in 2021 such as an overhaul to the lighting system, improvements to the campaign map and much more.
Unfortunately, as a result of the pandemic, many developers have had to delay their games to facilitate additional development time. For example, games such as Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Forspoken and The Settlers were delayed into 2023.
