Story Progress in Grounded Is Resetting for Game’s Full Launch

Started From the Bottom, Now We’re at the Bottom

Today is the full launch of Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded. The “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”-inspired game has been in early access for over two years at this point. Even if you have played it to the fullest extent, you will have more to experience, whether you like it or not.

A number of things are obviously getting reworked for the 1.0 update. One of those things is the story and narrative flow. To that end, all of your story progress will be reset starting today.

That doesn’t mean that you will be starting from scratch though. The Grounded dev team released a short message earlier today explaining what is happening. Players will be keeping all of their items, bases, recipes, and other unlockables. They will have to redo the story quests though, as flow of the game has changed a bit.

The Milk Molars, which are used to permanently upgrade your player stats, will be refunded as well. Hopefully, there will be more options to spend your Milk Molars on from here on out.

Now, all that’s left is to full explore the backyard. Again. Grounded is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
