PS Exclusive Spider-Man Is Coming to PC

Spider-Man Is Slinging to PC

Spider-Man is making its way to PC. Sony confirmed this information to the gaming public at the State of Play event that was held on Thursday. According to the announcement, the PC version will be a Remastered version of the game. Furthermore, Miles Morales is also going to have a PC port.

Spider-Man launched to the gaming market for PS4 back in 2018. It received a lot of praise at launch. Marvel fans loved how Insomniac was able to nail the titular character’s style and movement. In fact, many sources have claimed that it is the best-selling superhero game of all time despite being a PlayStation exclusive.

Fortunately for PC users, they will now be able to get in on the fun as well. “Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are heading to PC,” devs announced in their blog post. The manner of how they made the announcement implies that the two will be separate and not marketed as a combined package.

It remains unknown how Spider-Man is going to perform on a mouse. Devs did not really provide any further technical details but they did leave a few hints. “Of course, you can count on additional standard PC-specific features,” devs added. “Such as adjustable render settings and ray-traced reflections, with more features and details to be announced later.”

It took devs nearly five years to make the game available to other platforms. At the time of the game’s launch, they were saying with utmost confidence that it would “never appear” on another device. They would never have imagined what the gaming industry would look like five years into the future.

Back then, the competition was just mainly a straightforward console battle between Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Now, things have evolved due to PC ports and subscription services.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is due for launch on August 12, 2022.
