Palword Is a Creature-Collecting RPG With a Violent Twist

Palworld Is a Far Darker Creature Collector

Palworld devs revealed its trailer at the recent Future Games Show. It is going to be a creature-collecting RPG. Although it may seem like Pokemon at first, it does have a very violent twist.

The trailer focuses on two of the game’s key aspects. First is a bunch of boss fights. Palworld players will have to take on some very powerful bosses. Instead of utilizing their companions to whittle down their health, they will have to use their rifle to subdue the enemies.

The second aspect that the trailer shows is the interaction between the creatures and their environment. Each creature that Palworld players are able to collect will have their own set of abilities and skills. One fiery friend can help light up a campfire. Another can pull a sled through the thick snow.

These are two very different vibes. However, no matter how different they are from one another, they will occasionally collide. After all, Palworld players will be opting into some more traditional battles at least some of the time.

Palworld fans may notice that some of the other battles are stranger than their gun-toting boss encounters. In some cases, they will have to blast their pals from rocket launchers. They may even see others use cheap mine labor or machine gun nests to protect themselves against an oncoming horde of enemies.

The game certainly promises to be a unique alternative to creature-collecting JRPGs that have taken a shot at Pokemon’s throne in the recent years. Other titles such as Temtem and Ooblets seem to be more wholesome choices. However, this could be what gives Palword its newcomer’s charm.

Palworld is due for launch some time later this year for PC. For those who are interested in giving it a try, they can already wishlist it on its official page.
