New Pokemon GO Leak Hints at Gen 7 Arrival

Pokemon GO Might Be Getting Gen 7 Creatures Sooner Rather Than Later

Pokemon GO devs have hugely expanded the number of playable species in the game since launch. It showcased creatures from the Johto region all the way to the franchise’s sixth generation. They officially added Gen 6 species in December of 2020.

With that said, it has been well over a year since the popular mobile game has received any significant influx in its roster. Thankfully for fans, there is new evidence that seem to hint at the sooner arrival of new Pokemon GO species.

Hardworking dataminers have determined that Gen 7 creatures are coming to the game in the near future. According to their findings, Gen 7 species for Pokemon GO, including the unique Ultra Beast Pokemon, have been “pushed.” Fans are curious to know how they are going to be incorporated into the mobile game.

This will not be the first time that Pokemon from the Alola region show up in the game. After all, Niantic did add Alolan variants of Gen 1 creatures into the game about four years ago. Considering that this is the first time that devs are adding majority of Gen 7 Pokemons, it remains unclear how the rollout is going to work. Fans are speculating that the addition will happen as part of certain special events.

At the moment, fans are just observing and comparing it to the process of how devs handled previous generations. Many players believe that devs will add a limited number of Gen 7 Pokemon to the game at the beginning and will eventually keep adding more to refresh the pool. This will expectedly keep Pokemon GO fans engaged.

The addition of Gen 7 Pokemon will make the mobile game almost caught up with the main series of games.
