Dragon’s Dogma 2 Finally Announced After 10 Long Years

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Is Finally Coming

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is finally happening. Fans of the game have longe been asking for a sequel the original. In fact, it has been 10 long years. Fortunately for them, Capcom is finally making it happen.

Sorry to have kept you waiting,” said Series Director Hideaki Itsuno. “Everyone in the development team is hard at work creating a game that we hope you will enjoy.”

It has also been revealed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is being developed with RE Engine. This is the very same engine that devs used for Monster Hunter Rise, as well as the last bunch of Resident Evil titles.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will begin the cycle anew,” devs wrote on social media. “Join Director Hideaki Itsuno as he reflects on how the world of Gransys came to be and shares the announcement of the upcoming sequel in development using RE Engine.”

Considering that it has been approximately a decade since the first game, some fans may have decided to drop it all together. With that said, a sequel for the game is a whole new chance to get on board the Dragon’s Dogma 2 train. Now that devs revealed the logo and not much else, it is safe to assume that the sequel is due for release several years away.

This is also considering that Capcom has a number of other tent poles in the pipe line. Street Fighter 6 is going open world and is due for launch next year. Resident Evil 4 is also getting a remake next March for both PC and consoles.

Some players are not huge fans of the franchise. They found that it was brimming with potential. However, what was not to their liking was its muddy visuals, a messy user interface, and an overwhelming crush of side quests. Despite this, the Dragon’s Dogma remains to have its die-hard fans who have been determined to keep the dragon fire alive.
