Dead Space Remake Is Coming Next January
Dead Space Remake fans were delighted to know that Electronic Arts finally provided the game’s official release date. EA announced today that the remake is due to arrive on January 27th of 2023.
“We are making great progress on our road to hitting alpha,” Senior Producer Phillippe Ducharme said. “We are happy to announce that the game will be launching in January next year.”
The Dead Space Remake team does not want to release a game that is half-baked. WIth that said, they want to give the title the “respect it deserves.” “Developing this remake has been a lot of fun for us at Motive,” devs said. “It has been equally exciting to see players’ reactions as we are taking them on this development journey with us.”
The confirmation regarding Dead Space Remake’s launch date occurred at a live stream. The event also showcased the upcoming game’s overhauled visuals, environments, lighting, and updated assets. According to devs, the game will feature “unprecedented levels of immersion.” “We cannot wait for players, both old and new,” devs added. “To see how we have elevated the original experience in the remake to be just as impactful for this generation.”
Dead Space Remake Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola has also confirmed that the team’s current task is to go “head down” so everyone can work on a “more substantial” gameplay reveal. This is reportedly going to happen some time in October. Fans are expecting that the reveal will happen around Halloween season.
With that said, fans should not expect to see more of the game during June’s Summer Game Fest, especially since EA already confirmed that they are not having an EA Play Live event this year. Devs first announced the remake last summer. At the time, they confirmed that they added several tweaks to the franchise’s signature gameplay mechanics.
