Unfortunately for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fans, he did not give any further details about the upcoming game. However, he did confirm that the game will only be playable on today’s current-gen platforms. This indicates that the sequel will only be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. According to him, devs intend to make full use of the hardware in today’s current-gen systems.

The Star Wars Celebration convention is also due to begin on May 26th. Grubb revealed that the game will make an appearance at this event. Despite the showcase, he wants fans to know that devs are only going to officially release the game to the gaming public some time in 2023.

Survivor would be an appropriate tag for the sequel. After all, Fallen Order followed Cal Kestis who happens to be the sole remaining Jedi after the Great Purge. He managed to escape from the Sith and lived another day. However, he is likely to have a target on his back—something that the sequel may delve into.

Fans of the franchise have been speculating about the sequel to Fallen Order for quite some time now. After all, they did first hear about the project in January. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is actually a part of a three-game deal between Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games. Respawn Entertainment is going to be at the helm of the game’s development. Moreover, the team will reportedly be led by Santa Monica Studio veteran Stig Asmussen.
