Rivals of Aether 2 Will Have 3 Returning Characters

Rivals of Aether 2 Will Feature Returning Zetterburn, Wrastor, and Ranno

Rivals of Aether 2 has just been announced to the gaming public. This game will be a 3D sequel to the 2D platform fighting game that Aether Studios released back in 2017. Moreover, the second installment in the franchise is also bringing back three fighters from the original game.

The game’s three returning characters are Wrastor, Ranno, and Zetterburn. Taking a look at their new 3D designs, their models and animations were tweaked to make them look even more impressive than before.

The game’s reveal trailer also showed off new stages for its players to enjoy. The first stage has a dojo-like setting that has a beautiful waterfall background. Rivals of Aether 2’s three returning characters will be fighting on top of an air ship that flies through the clouds.

The second stage seems to feature a different time of day. Its skies turn from blue to a picturesque purple sunset.

The trailer also showcased the game’s third stage in the trailer. The fighters are on a rocky platform in front of a mountainous cavern.

Unfortunately, Rivals of Aether 2 devs did not provide any specific information on what platforms it will be playable on. “We do not have platforms to share yet,” they said. “But we want to release it on as many platforms as we can.”

Aether Studios is creating the next generation of platform fighter,” devs said. “Currently targeting 2024, our goal is to create our dream fighting game by taking our successes from Rivals of Aether and expanding on the formula in all the right ways for Rivals 2.”

The team behind Rivals of Aether 2 explained that they have a 2024 target because their “ambitions are high.” “We aim to compete against the best games on the market,” they explained. “There is a lot that we want to build to make Rivals 2 the best fighting game that it can be and it is going to take time.”
