Halo Infinite Devs Acknowledge That Fans Are ‘Out of Patience’

Halo Infinite Players Are “Out of Patience”

Halo Infinite fans are simply “out of patience” at the 343 Industries’ lack of activity and communication. Community Director Brian Jarrard gave an explanation which fans thought was pretty non-committal. This was the type of communication from the devs that the fans have always had an issue with.

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer came out last December without its popular Forge mode. This mode is a fan-favorite since it allows players to create their own maps and game types. Fans have been waiting for this feature since launch. Unfortunately, devs decided to further delay the mode when they extended Season 1 until this May.

We are certainly not happy to be unable to meet player and community expectations,” Jarrard said. “It is a difficult situation that is going to take the team time to work through.”

Right now the focus is on Season 2,” he added. “Meanwhile, a lot of production planning, costing, planning, hiring, etc. is all happening which does not really lend to detailed regular updates.”

The Halo Infinite community did not take too kindly to Jarrard’s explanation.

How, after five months past launch, are things still in the hiring and planning phase?” asked one fan. “Am I incorrectly reading this?”

No offense but how does your studio of hundreds of developers struggle to put out new maps, new modes, and cosmetics?” complained another.

There are indeed a lot of challenges and constraints,” Jarrard answered. “We understand the community is simply out of patience.”

At the moment, Halo Infinite’s Forge is being tested by a select few community creators. According to the devs, they still plan to release Forge for Season 3. However, since Season 1 will have lasted for more than six months by the time Season 2 begins, it may not arrive until the end of the year.

We just need some time for the team to get the details sorted,” he added. “And then we can certainly share as much as we can.”
