GTA Online Gets Own Subscription Service for PS5 & Xbox Series X/S

Introducing GTA Online’s GTA+ Monthly Subscription Service

GTA Online is getting its own monthly subscription service called GTA+. Rockstar Games confirmed that this new membership option will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users.

“Introducing GTA+ for GTA Online,” Rockstar wrote on social media. “A new membership program exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, providing easy access to a range of valuable benefits for both new and long-standing players on the latest generation consoles.

GTA Online’s new service will grant players with a monthly deposit of GTA $500,000, including access to other bonuses. Players can access in-game discounts, special vehicle upgrades, cash/RP bonuses, as well as the opportunity to claim property that unlocks gameplay updates that the community “may have missed out on.” This suggests that fans can access previously released time-limited content.

The GTA $500,000 Maze Bank account payment will be recurrent. However, the other offers are going to change on a monthly basis.  These offers can be found at GTA Online stores, namely Hao’s Special Works, DockTease, Legendary Motorsport, and Maze Bank Foreclosures.

Subscribers will also gain access to special GTA+ Shark Cards. These are in-game cash cards that players can buy. They cost $3 to $100. They will provide “extra bonus cash” that are above and beyond their standard counterparts. This is not a terrible deal at all, considering that a GTA $500,00 Shark Card usually sells for $10.

GTA+ will go live on March 29th. It will cost $5.99 per month. Its first month will span from March 29th to April 27th.

GTA Online devs told the gaming public in 2020 that they are adding new content “exclusive to the new consoles and PC” going forward. Sadly, however, they did not provide any explanation on why the new subscription service is only available on new-gen consoles.
