A Destiny 2 Clan Just Completed Two World-First Records

Destiny 2 Clan Celebrates Major Win

In several different MMO games, it’s been a recurring challenge to see who can beat a new raid boss first. A multi-player fight against a single Big Bad is quite the spectacle, one that requires quite a bit of teamwork in order to finish. But the amount of co-ordination needed for a fastest possible win, on your first try? That’s a lot tougher. And for Destiny 2, a clan managed to do just that. Twice over. Consecutively.

“Clan Elysium” were the winners of this particular bout. They already had a win under their belt with the most recent release of Vault of Glass. Vow of the Disciple was the next big release, and Elysium would have to carry that momentum through if they wanted a consecutive win. The victory saw a celebration from Bungie themselves, releasing a tweet praising each competitor by name.

And the battle wasn’t easy, either. The launch had some serious connection issues, with players and teams being locked out of the game for hours. The troubles hit Elysium hard, costing them two hours of progress that could have been spent plugging shots into the boss. But since you’re here reading this article, you know how it all ends. Even these handicaps couldn’t stop Elysium, as they pulled a win from the jaws of defeat. Destiny 2 saw an incredible win, and the clan is no doubt looking to see where they can push themselves from here.
