Megaquarium Swims to Freshwater with new Expansion

Something’s Fishy

It’s time for some new exhibits at the Megaquarium. Twice Circled’s aquarium tycoon game, Megaquarium, is receiving its first expansion: Freshwater Frenzy. A press release about the expansion provides more details. The expansion will bring a host of new features and content to the aquarium tycoon game.

Megaquarium Feature

In Megaquarium the player runs their own, aquarium based, theme park. As the manager it is up to you to look after your exhibits, take care of your fish, manage your staff and more. In addition, you get to decide what goes in what exhibit. The Fresh Water Frenzy expansion adds even more to astonish your guests.

In addition to the announcement Megaquarium also released a trailer. The trailer shows off some of the new content and how it interacts with the gameplay.

“Freshwater Frenzy is packed full of new species to discover. There are new care requirements to learn and demanding new aquascaping requirements to fulfil too!” Says the press release.

In addition to these new features the press release is excited to announce the introduction of baby animals. The raising of baby animals also allows new requirements and mission objectives for breeding. It will be no easy task for the player, as raising babies never is. Also, new tank designs are necessary for the introduction of reptiles, tanks that feature both land and water.

The Freshwater Frenzy expansion is coming on January 25th. Currently, the game is available on Steam but the developer has plans to expand to consoles.
