Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a fighter with similar mechanics to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros series. Players have to hit each other to wrack up damage, displayed as a percentage, and knock their opponents off of the stage. The higher your percent, the further you get knocked back. The difference between this game and Smash Bros is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s roster is exclusively made up of Nickelodeon characters. SpongeBob SquarePants, Danny Phantom and CatDog are some of the playable characters in this game. If you grew up watching any Nickelodeon shows, there is probably at least one character you recognize in this game’s roster regardless of how young or old you are.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl took the world by storm when it came out earlier this year. Many fans loved the game for its quirky roster and chaotic gameplay. The game wasn’t completely free of criticism though. The lack of alternate skins and the lack of voice acting were two big complaints about the game on its launch. The latest DLC at least fixes one of these complaints.

The DLC, titled Super DLC 300, offers 1 new alternate costume for all 20 of the game’s current playable characters. Each and every costume references either something from the character’s show or something from the character’s history. For instance, Toph’s new costume has her wearing a hat and wrist braces that are very reminiscent of traditional Earth Kingdom clothing. This type of clothing is seen constantly throughout Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the other hand have costumes that reference their history. Michelangelo and Leonardo are sporting costumes that change their look to be completely black and white, referencing their origins as comic book characters.

You can buy Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl on Steam for $50.
