Not Abandoned Yet
The announcement and development process for the upcoming game Abandoned has been rocky to say the least. What started as a mysterious announcement, quickly began to spiral into conspiracy. Blue Box Game Studios even had to plead with their supposed fans to stop sending death threats.
Blue Box Game Studios recently gave fans a development update for their upcoming game. The concept for the game, which is being dubbed Abandoned for now, has changed several times. This has made for a chaotic development process and missing deadlines. The lackluster PS5 app released in August was likely affected by this.
The entire process has been a learning experience for the development team. They are hard at work trying to avoid the mistakes they have made in the past, which might mean staying quiet while they work. They do have plans to release more content for that PS5 app though.
Blue Box has stated that they intend to release a tech demo on the Realtime Experience app in the New Year. They also say they will be releasing the “Prologue”, which may be the same thing as the tech demo, but we will have to wait and see.
It would be really crazy if in fact this whole thing was a Silent Hill game, though they are adamant that it is not. I do like a long con though. Hopefully, we will be seeing a clearing picture of what Abandoned is in 2022, which will be coming to PS5.
