Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Next Major Expansion Will Be Called Dawn of Ragnarok, According to Leak
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has already been confirmed to be getting new content soon, as Ubisoft themselves revealed that it is in development. However, it would seem that details of the game’s next major expansion may have just been leaked by a dataminer.
A well-known leaker and dataminer of anything Assassin’s Creed has reportedly uncovered evidence that the next major DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to be called Dawn of Ragnarok. According to the leak, the expansion will be set in Svartalfheim, with Eivor—the game’s protagonist—potentially obtaining new powers, such as teleportation arrows, invisibility, ice powers, the ability to revive enemies, and chainmail-piercing gear. Ubisoft has neither confirmed nor denied these reports, and the assumption about these new abilities were derived from a leaked list of achievements or trophies that will reportedly be included in the expansion.
At the moment, it remains unknown when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok is going to be released. Fans are hopeful that the DLC will be rolled out by the end of this year, but it is highly likely that it will drop sometime in 2022. After all, Ubisoft has already released the Siege of Paris and Wrath of the Druids DLCs earlier this year. With that said, if the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion was ready to be revealed, then the devs would have already done so by now.
“We will continue to deliver powerful Assassin’s Creed content over the coming months and years, starting with an ambitious post-launch for Valhalla,” said Ubisoft Chief Financial Officer Frederick Duguet. Having said that, the devs want Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans to stay tuned for “a very ambitious and surprising second year of content for the first time in the franchise’s history.”
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently out for PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
