Roller Champions Closed Beta Registration Is Open
According to gamers in certain European countries, Ubisoft has begun registration for Roller Champions which is expected to release later this year. The closed beta will be the first time this game is playable on consoles, and Ubisoft Connect and Ubisoft+ subscribers can also get in on the action. When it releases later this year, Roller Champions will be free-to-play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The closed beta apparently features new moves, new gear, custom matches, 2v2 and ranked modes, cross-play between PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This closed beta will offer much more according to the developers, but the most interesting addition is a new in-game social hub called “The Skatepark.” Roller Champions fans will be able to drop in and out of this social hub and it’s a persistent area akin to the Tower in Destiny or Creative hub in Fortnite. Gamers will be able to roll around with other players in this hub, learn new tricks, and compete in timed-limited mini-games that offer rewards.
This closed beta marks the first time the game will be playable on consoles. Subscribers of Ubisoft Connect on PC and Ubisoft+ can also join right in on the roller skating mayhem. Day one of this closed beta will make quick match, custom match, and the Skatepark available to gamers, while ranked mode will become available on day two. Gamers will have to participate in 10 placement matches to receive their ranked mode rank and then they can progress up to Champions League from there.
