A Big Franchise is Crashing With Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2

What the Uka Uka is Going On?

Crash Bandicoot has made a big return with It’s About Time but it’s easy to forget that we went through ten bandicoot-less years, where Naughty Dog shifted its focus from the cartoony games which codified their earlier outings to becoming one of the most acclaimed developers out there, with hit games like The Last of Us and Uncharted franchises scooping up Game of the Year Awards. Now that Crash is making a comeback, it looks like another game making a comeback is celebrating his return, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is debuting some Crash Bandicoot inspired cosmetics.

Starting Friday, you’ll be able to choose from 13 Crash Bandicoot inspired cosmetics: Nine shirts, three hats, and a skateboard deck. Given that Crash has always been mischevious, and has a penchant for precise jumps and wild spins, referencing him in the game is something developer  Vicarious Visions “couldn’t resist”.

Also coming to the game is The Birdman Pack Benefitting Charity; created in collaboration with The Skatepark Project (Formerly The Tony Hawk Foundation) the DLC will include ten decks and be available for a limited time at $4.99, with all proceeds going to help build public skateparks in underserved communities, giving underprivileged youth the chance to get involved in skateboarding. Keeping with the theme of new cosmetics, three talented fans have submitted their artwork to the game to be used as custom decks.

Friday’s update will also include the option to replay tours with your favorite pro’s, as well as introducing new objectives in Multiplayer, Create-A-Park, and Combo Practise modes. These new objectives will award plenty of XP and in-game cash, letting you hit level 100 faster than ever and look fly as hell the entire way.
