Yooka-Laylee Developers Are Rebranding
Playtonic Games, the team behind Yooka-Laylee, has officially confirmed that it’s undergoing an important rebrand. The studio made this announcement to backers of Yooka-Laylee and it suggests a “good reason” for making such big changes. The statement made to backers also discussed a new team member named Kegan who has a fittingly eclectic taste in games. Yooka-Laylee is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac.
“We’re ssssliding into your inbox to deliver a backers-first update and insight into the future. Disclaimer: we’re not announcing any of the cool gamesss yet, but many great things will happen over the coming weeks, months, years, and we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised,” said Playtonic Games in a recent statement. “One of the things we’re doing is a rebrand… exciting hey?”
“Let us know if you want slides and graphs too, but there is a good reason for us doing so, my dear Playtonic friends. All will be revealed soon! It’s still a secret, so keep it mum. And that’s not all! A new team member has joined us at the helm of our social media and community channels, please give a warm welcome to Tegan!”
“She refers to herself as a Pokémon Master… we have no idea what that is, but we’ll take her word. Judging by the games she plays we’d say she has an eclectic taste, perhaps this is why she’s a Vendi fan. Hmmm… we should probably keep an eye on this one.” What do you expect from Playtonic Games’ rebranding? What do you think their next project will be? Let us know in the comments below!
