Kevin Hart Is Playing Roland in Upcoming Borderlands Movie
Kevin Hart has officially signed on to join the upcoming Borderlands movie and Eli Roth has confirmed what role the comedian will be playing. President of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Nathan Kahane also chimed in to express enthusiasm for both the Borderlands series and Kevin Hart’s acting style. Borderlands 3 is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, and PC.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Kevin,” said Eli Roth in a recent statement. “Borderlands is a different kind of role for him, and we are excited to thrill audiences with a side of Kevin they’ve never seen before. He’s going to be an amazing Roland.” While Kevin Hart has been playing video game avatars in the recent Jumanji films, Roland will be his first big foray into video game characters. Considering Hart’s sense of humor, it’s fitting to see him sign on with the Borderlands movie with how hilarious the games have been since the get-go.
“Kevin has been behind some of the world’s biggest blockbusters, and our source material is inspired by one of the world’s best-selling video games,” said the president of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Nathan Kahane. “We love the way our filmmaking team has adapted this story, and we couldn’t be in better creative hands.”
