This One’s for the Mutant in All of Us
Experiment 101 has officially announced a release date for their upcoming title, Biomutant, which is coming out surprisingly soon. The developers took to the official Biomutant Twitter account to announce the official release date of May 25th for the open-world “post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG.” When it releases, Biomutant is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC, while the previously announced Nintendo Switch version was not confirmed in the announcement.
“Biomutant is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 25th, 2021,” said Experiment 101 in a recent Twitter statement. While the title has been in the works for several years and some lucky players have already gone hands-on with it since the Swedish developers have been quite silent on a release date for the game until now. Biomutant was announced way back in 2017 and it’s finally time for fans of the early impressions to get hyped for the release.
The gameplay is a mix of third-person shooting and melee combat with mutations changing up the gameplay in unique ways. Mutations can also alter the appearance of a character, making the transition from one to another more drastic than simply altering some skill points or changing gear. While no Xbox Series X/S or PS5 version of Biomutant was confirmed, it might be something that gets the next-gen update treatment further down the road.
