Drive Around the Mojave Desert in Fallout: New Vegas
Fallout: New Vegas has become a cult classic amongst the Fallout community, with many gamers thinking Obsidian Entertainment made the best Fallout game to date. Now New Vegas just got a whole lot more interesting through the help of a new mod. Fallout: The Frontier will bring drivable vehicles to Fallout: New Vegas when the mod releases on January 15th, 2021. Fallout: New Vegas is available right now for last-gen consoles, PC, Xbox One through backward compatibility and through the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup.
Fallout: The Frontier includes a fully snowy Portland Oregon as part of the huge new mod, with real-life landmarks and locations. In addition to these new locations, the upcoming mod will also include dozens of new creatures to defeat, over 150 new weapons and hundreds of new armors, and of course, the fleshed-out vehicle system. Dozens of new side quests of varying length and complexity are also getting added to Fallout: New Vegas with the upcoming release of Fallout: The Frontier, which will include over 24,000 new lines of voiced dialogue performed by their cast and some surprise celebrity voices.
In addition to the quality of life changes and additional content to Fallout: New Vegas with Fallout: The Frontier joins modern VFX techniques that make the game look a lot better. With a focus on performance, The Frontier team has optimized the graphics without sacrificing things like frame rate. A brand new save will apparently be required to play through The Frontier content without issues and it requires the base Fallout: New Vegas game as well as all of the official DLC for the game, with a Game of the Year edition being ideal for the experience.
