More Refunds Coming for Cyberpunk 2077

Following the lead set by Sony Interactive Entertainment and the PlayStation Store, Microsoft is officially offering full refunds for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt RED fans who feel scorned by the studio’s latest title can officially get a refund through the Microsoft Store according to Microsoft themselves. Microsoft made sure that their fans know CD Projekt RED developers worked hard to ship the game under terrible circumstances, a commonly forgotten aspect of Cyberpunk 2077’s story. Cyberpunk 2077 is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia.

Cyberpunk 2077: To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice,” said a recent Twitter post on the official Xbox Support account. “While we know the developers at CD Projekt RED have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk 2077 in extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players have been unhappy with the current experience on older consoles.”

“To date, we have granted refunds to the vast majority of customers who have requested one,” continued the official Xbox Support post before linking to the official refunds page. PlayStation fans have been refunding Cyberpunk 2077 in droves since SIE confirmed it was fully refundable, and it’s likely that a lot of Xbox One gamers will be refunding Cyberpunk 2077 through Microsoft now that Xbox is offering the same refund. CDPR stock has been plummeting since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and a lot of gamers are questioning the companies reputation moving forward.
