Bioshock 4 Job Listing Hints at Sandbox World

Bioshock 4 Job Listing Teases New Features

Cloud Chamber is the 2K Games studio working on the next Bioshock sequel, and they’re hiring. Eagle-eyed fans have discovered that the studio is currently looking for a Senior Voice Designer, Game AI Programmer, and Lead Systems Designer. The job listings suggest the upcoming game will have a sandbox world and a dialogue system that includes some level of player choice. Bioshock: The Collection is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC.

Bioshock

2K Games has been cooking up Bioshock 4 for a while now, but very little has been shown about it, and only job listings such as this give us an idea of what to expect. Cloud Chamber is looking to continue the narrative-driven theme of the existing Bioshock games with their upcoming sequel, while Ken Levine continues to work on weird games. A lot of fans were worried about Bioshock once Ken Levine was no longer leading it, but it looks like the series is in good hands if you enjoy sandbox worlds with NPC’s to interact with according to the recent job listings.

Bioshock 4 was confirmed to be in development for Xbox Series X and PS5 in a job listing back in the summer, while another one has suggested a live service model for the upcoming sequel. The job listing also hints at interesting NPC’s that will clutter the world, saying simply the world would include “a meaningful AI urban crowd system and the systemic tribal ecology of a sometimes hostile AI.” We aren’t sure what to expect from this new Bioshock game but these job listings hint at a living Sandbox world with dialogue options and a live service model that’s set to release on next-gen consoles.
