“One Million Souls”
There are two types of people in this world: those whose sole purpose in life is to campaign for Mileena to be in every Mortal Kombat game and those who have to hear about it, whether you are with them or not. The former group has got what they wanted, at least for this game. Mileena was announced as Mortal Kombat 11 DLC earlier this month, along with Rain and Rambo. Earlier this year, Ed Boon acknowledged that Mileena fans have been the most vocal force in Mortal Kombat fandom and she is finally on her way.
Both Rain and Rambo have had their kombat skills shown off in gameplay trailers and next week, we will see what Mileena can do. There is a bit of a meta callout for fans that NetherRealm has shown us though. One of Mileena’s entrances all but directly acknowledges the desire for her from fans. When fighting Erron Black, Erron drops a sack with a human head in it at Mileena’s feet. He asks her why she’s back and she says “One million souls cry out for my return.” Girl, if that ain’t the truth.

Mileena is undoubtedly one of the most popular Mortal Kombat characters. I have never seen a woman with teeth like that to be so liked by so many. Just keep that mask on, princess. Not just because of COVID. The sight of your mouth makes me feel really weird and I don’t like it. Mileena’s gameplay reveal can be seen next week. Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4, and Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate will be available on November 19th for all platforms including PS5 and Xbox Series X.
