The Coalition Brings Dave Bautista to the Frontline
As we recently confirmed, The Coalition is cooking up a new piece of campaign DLC for Gears 5 with the upcoming release of the Xbox Series X/S. Joining the new story DLC will be the Gears 5 version of popular actor Dave Bautista that’s familiar to Gears 5 multiplayer fans. Dave Bautista will take over Marcus Fenix’s role, with his dialogue delivered in his best wrestling promo voice. Gears 5 is currently available on Xbox One and PC, and it’s available through the Xbox Game Pass lineup, with a November 10th launch on Xbox Series X/S and a December release for the new campaign DLC.
Dave Bautista will take over Marcus Fenix’s role, making him a prominent character in the upcoming Gears 5 campaign DLC rather than just some side character. While Marcus Fenix leaves big shoes to fill, Dave Bautista proved himself to be a lead character with roles such as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy and Vic Manning in Stuber. Previous to his Hollywood career, Dave Bautista was a professional wrestler, but The Coalition is testing his promo skills for the upcoming campaign DLC releasing in December.
When Gears 5 comes to the Xbox Series X/S, it will be playable in 4K, with 120 FPS support in multiplayer for both next-gen Xbox consoles releasing in November. Included with the graphical improvements are higher particle counts, real-time global illumination, contact shadows, and much more. This enhanced version of Gears 5 will also include better loading speeds thanks to the NVMe SSD’s of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Gears 5 joins the extensive Xbox Series X/S launch lineup when the next-gen Xbox consoles release on November 10th.
