Godfall Continues to Receive Brief Teaser Trailers

Godfall Gets Brief Hinterclaw Trailer After Brief Gamescom Trailer

Gearbox and Counterplay Games continue to tease gamers who are interested in Godfall with brief teaser trailers like the one at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The latest trailer from the developers behind Godfall shows off the Hinterclaw Valorplate, with the Valorplate showed off during Gamescom known as Vertigo. Valorplates will act as a class system in Godfall, changing up gameplay depending on what suit of armor you’re wearing. Godfall launches this holiday season for PC and PS5 as a launch window title for the next-gen PlayStation.

Godfall

Valorplates are the superpowered suits of armor the Valorian Knights wear, and they each offer a range of unique abilities on top of Godfall’s weapon-based combat system. While the Vertigo Valorplate got a brief glimpse of combat in the Gamescom Godfall trailer, the Hinterclaw trailer only showed off the armor itself. The cold steel of the Hinterclaw Valorplate is accentuated by vibrant blue, with a wolf-like helmet that has glowing icy blue eyes.

“From where does discipline spring?” said the teaser trailer narrator. “The steel resolved to endure. That hunger for perfection. Power taken is power deserved. Ascend to worthiness with Hinterclaw.”

While we have an idea of what to expect from the Vertigo Valorplate after watching the gameplay teaser during Gamescom Opening Night Live, Gearbox and Counterplay Games have given us very little to expect from the Hinterclaw Valorplate in terms of combat. Apparently the Hinterclaw will offer hard and fast-hitting combat, and it will boast fast movement speed, be able to summon AI allies, and utilize a set of abilities designed to increase its critical strikes by up to 200%.
