Tetsuya Nomura Wants to Raise the Bar With FF7 Remake Part 2
Tetsuya Nomura recently stated during an interview with Famitsu that he wants development on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 to go as quickly as possible while raising the bar set by the first title. Nomura wants to make the sequel better than part one and says fans will only have to wait just a bit longer. Square Enix has been at work in developing Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two since around the release of the first part, but Nomura is hinting at a shorter wait for the next installment. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available exclusively for the PS4 right now.
Since releasing to great fanfare and high ratings, Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans have been itching to hear more news from Square Enix about part two. Tetsuya Nomura implores these fans to be patient but has hinted that Square Enix will have more to announce soon. Nomura also claimed with Famitsu that Square Enix will soon confirm whether or not Part 2 will be the final installment or if we can expect more chapters moving into next-gen. We’re also curious to know whether Part 2 will be cross-gen or not, but Nomura didn’t speak on the topic during his Famitsu interview.
Tetsuya Nomura apparently didn’t expect so many fans would take to Jessie with the remake in comparison to her reception in the original Final Fantasy 7. Square Enix also avoided being too sexually suggestive with Wall Market and the Cloud “massage” scene by labeling it as a massage. When asked about Cloud’s Whispers, Nomura claimed that Cloud starts seeing the Whispers when he first met Aerith. But he can’t tell us yet when Aerith herself started being able to see them, which may set up a storyline in Part 2. Are you curious about what we thought about Final Fantasy 7 Remake?
