ARMS Getting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Showcase Soon
Nintendo of America recently announced on their official Twitter page that the upcoming ARMS characters will be getting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate showcase in a matter of days. The ARMS characters were confirmed as the next Super Smash Bros. fighter way back in March and on June 22nd, they’ll be getting the full reveal treatment ahead of their addition to the successful Nintendo fighting franchise. The reveal is set for around 35 minutes, which will give fans of the game an idea of what to expect from the new fighter. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch right now, with Switch Online required to take the fight against others online.
According to Nintendo of America, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai will lead the upcoming ARMS showcase just as he has with each of the additional characters in the Smash Pass. 35 minutes of footage should give fans of Super Smash Bros. an idea of what to expect when facing off against the character and an idea of whether or not the character is worth buying. Nintendo has clarified that no other fighters will be revealed in the upcoming stream so fans shouldn’t expect a new character reveal just yet.
The ARMS fighter will apparently release sometime this month, both standalone and as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2. The initial Smash Pass brought Joker from the Persona series and Hero from the Dragon Quest franchise to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. With ARMS being the only confirmed character for volume two, it’s likely that the next Fighter Pass will focus on Nintendo characters. The pass will cost gamers $29.99 and it includes six new fighters alongside additional stages and music tracks.
