Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is Free for Two Weeks
Bandai Namco is officially giving away Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 through Steam and consoles over the next two weeks. Fans of the original Pac-Man will have much to delight in with the changes made to the dated formula, with nearly all changes being positive. While the game has been on the Steam platform for around four years, Pac-Man fans will be pleasantly surprised to see the price tag dropped from $10 to absolutely free. PC gamers can get their free copy through Steam now until May 10th, when the game returns to its former price. Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch as well.
“We will be sending our beloved goodwill ambassador, Pac-Man, into everyone’s homes by making Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 available for free starting from April 24, 2020 at 10 am PDT to May 10, 2020 at 10 am PDT for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs via Steam,” said Bandai Namco. “Through this free limited-time giveaway, we hope to bring fun into everyone’s homes around the globe.” While we have been Pac-Man fans for a long time, we’ll be giving the PC version of Championship Edition 2 a look while it’s free for comparison with the console version.
With Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 being free for the next week, we’re excited to see how many new fans will check out the game after only ever playing the original title. While it’s possible some people haven’t tried the arcade original, we suspect most people have tried the initial Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man title by now.
