The Division 2: Warlords of New York Gets Animated
For the recent release of the new expansion for The Division 2, Ubisoft has released an animated short film to highlight Warlords of New York. The short film sets of the story for Warlords of New York for new fans who are picking up The Division 2 for the first time, showing off some of the characters they’ll be encountering along the way. Although Ubisoft has had many server issues and gamers have encountered several bugs since the release of Warlords of New York, they’re working to fix all of the issues today. The Division 2 is available with Warlords of New York on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia.
The animated short film starts with the Theo Parnell disabling an agent drone to help James Dragov and his Rikers storm a resistance base to obtain a new strand of the virus the game is built around. Keener quickly goes underground to recruit Javier Kajika, promising him revenge on the person who betrayed him. The last character showcased in the animated short film was Vivian Conley who took control over the Cleaners, former sanitation workers who use flamethrowers to torch the virus or anything that’s considered to be infected by it.
While fans are currently anticipating proper servers and the removal of bugs they experienced on launch day for Warlords of New York, many have recently gotten on board with the free weekend Ubisoft offered recently. Any of the progression that new gamers made during the free weekend transitioned over to the live version of The Division 2 which likely gave Ubisoft a few more fans of the franchise. The company also lowered the cost of the base game to a ridiculous $3 ahead of the release of Warlords of New York.
