Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad Coming to iOS and Android
Ubisoft has announced on Twitter that Owlient developed RPG, Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, will be releasing on iOS and Android soon. The mobile game will be free-to-play and it features characters from across the Tom Clancy franchises such as Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Real-time military 5v5 battles will rage on the battlefield in Elite Squad, with many familiar faces being included among the roster. Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced a release date for Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad but with them saying it’s coming soon, gamers will likely see the mobile title on iOS and Android this year.
Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad was among the mobile games teased at E3 2019 but since then, Ubisoft and Owlient have gone rather silent regarding news for the Tom Clancy title. While Ubisoft took to Twitter to share that Elite Squad will be coming to the Google Play Store, an astute Twitter user asked when the game would release. The publisher replied in the comments that the game would be released “this year gradually in some countries first,” so gamers can expect to see a rolling release across regions over the year.
Although no dates or countries have been confirmed for Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, gamers will be seeing the mobile title soon. Ubisoft has already confirmed that the game will be releasing on the Google Play Store but haven’t confirmed if it will be on Android to start or if it’s releasing for Android and iOS at the same time. The official website for Elite Squad mentions that the game will eventually be available for iOS but the coming soon ad didn’t even mention the Apple platform.
