Samurai Jack Back in Game Form

Thanks Adult Swim

A franchise so loaded with swords, robots, monsters, and time travel should be swollen with game adaptations. Yet, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is the first game for the titular series since 2004. Thankfully, this newest game looks to be a real banger. Or so we’re all hoping!

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time

The story appears to tie directly to the final season of the show, released back in 2017. Jack’s grimdark future look is featured prominently, along with some of that classic Jack we’re so accustomed to. The graphics feel like a slight departure from the show, though in a way that should translate into fast-paced action and fluid mechanics.

Honestly, all we’ve got to go on is a single 50 second teaser. Sure the gang is all there, the swords are sharp, and the slicing is finely honed, but we won’t know the deal until the game is actually released. Speaking if which, there’s no concrete drop date, but they’re aiming for summer 2020. I’m not asking for much here. Just let me mow down hordes of ruthless villains with a stoic, fish-out-of-water badass and I’ll be perfectly content. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is coming to PS4, Xbox One, the PC, and the Nintendo Switch. The teaser trailer is just below.
