Love Is in the Air
Valentine’s Day might have been a few days ago, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate. CD Projekt Red has released a new challenge event for Valentines that will be lasting until February 21st. You will have plenty of time to get all the rewards you need.
Like most challenge events in Gwent, players will be given a handful of teams to join when they log on. The team you chose will give you a certain set of challenges to complete throughout the duration of the event. The teams this time around are Team Triss, Yennefer, or Shani.
The challenges are by no means impossible to complete and should be a pretty reliable way to gain reward keys. These keys can then be used in the reward booklet where you can unlock in-game currency, skins, and other goodies. These reward keys can be hard to come by so don’t take this for granted. There is no telling when another event like this is going to take place.
Gwent is free to play, but it does entice players to use real-world money to accelerate their progress. As tempting as this might be, don’t fall for it. There are a ton of other ways to make money in Gwent that you should never have to whip out your credit card in order to gain the upper hand. Try picking one faction and just focusing on that. That way you will be able to build a somewhat powerful deck early on and you’ll be able to start winning game reliably. Which is how you will gain most of your unlock keys.
Gwent is one of the best card games out there right now. Up there with Hearthstone, it is in a class of its own.
