The Witcher Season 3 Releasing in Two Volumes This Summer

You’re Telling Me This Hunt Is Wild?

It’s been almost a year and a half since the second season of The Witcher premiered on Netflix. Since then, the spin-off Blood Origin was released, but not received nearly as well. For those who want to get back to Geralt and friends, a trailer The Witcher Season 3 is here.

The big news concerning this season is its format. There will be a two-volume release of this season; Volume 1 in June and Volume 2 in July. Hopefully, this could mean that it will be a meatier season. Too bad we won’t be able to binge it all at once.

The Witcher Season 3

The trailer itself is full of mystery and intrigue. We watched it at half speed to see what we can see. Spoiler: no notable spoilers. When we left the gang at the end of season 2, Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer eject Voleth Meir into another realm. They get a glimpse of the Wild Hunt, who is now in pursuit of Ciri. We also learn who the leader of Nilfgaard really is.

In The Witcher Season 3 trailer, we finally get a better look at the Wild Hunt. Netflix has also released new promotional images with Yennefer, Ciri, and Geralt. They are finally becoming the strange and awesome family we know them to be.

The Witcher Season 3 premiers on Netflix this summer. Volume 1 will begin on June 29th and Volume 2 will begin on July 27th. Season 3 will be the last time we see Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
