People Are Making Music In No Man’s Sky

Pretty Good Music, Too

No Man’s Sky is one of those games that steadily got better after its initial release. While we moved on to other pastures, the good people at Hello Games have been turning this title into a real powerful piece of interactive art. Case in point, people are making music in No Man’s Sky, thanks to a recent update.

No Man's Sky Making Music

A device called the ByteBeat machine has been added to the game. It’s hardly more than a toy at first glance, but players very quickly figured out how to make some truly amazing music. Sometimes this means lining up ten of these cute little machines, but the end results are very worth it.

Songs like this one, or this track, or this one, or even this one, are all great examples of music made with this weird little ByteBeat device. And all this is only after having access to the machine for four days! Just imagine what these fiendishly creative players will get up to in the next few months! If nothing else, the ByteBeat machine is a perfect example of what people get up to when given time and even a tiny bit of creative freedom. No Man’s Sky is out right now on PS4, PC, and the Xbox One.
