Ubisoft and Audible Team up for Assassin’s Creed Series

Ubisoft and Audible Are Working Together on Assassin’s Creed Gold

Ubisoft is working with audio book service Audible to create an audio drama series based on the Assassin’s Creed universe. The story will follow Aliyah Kahn who is a card shark and hustler who’s been dealt a rough hand in life, falling deeply into debt with a character named Gavin Banks. The series is written by Anthony Del Col and stars Emmy winner Riz Ahmed, Anthony Head, Danny Wallace and Tamara Lawrence. The audio drama will be called Assassin’s Creed Gold and it’s expected to release on Feb. 27, 2020. Gamers who prefer to play through Assassin’s Creed can check out AC: Odyssey on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Ubisoft Assassin's Creed

“Assassin’s Creed has set the highest of bars in the world of gaming,” director of original content at Audible UK, Steve Carsey said upon the announcement of Audible and Ubisoft coming together for Assassin’s Creed Gold. “Noted for their historical authenticity, world building, characterization and storytelling, there could be no better universe to explore as an audio drama … Embracing the best of the game’s characters, sophisticated plotting and conspiracy-laden storylines, we couldn’t wait to dive deep into the machinations of this multi-layered universe.”

Fans of Assassin’s Creed may be familiar with Anthony Del Col who also co-created Assassin’s Creed: Trial By Fire which was a comic series based in Ubisoft’s AC universe. Danny Wallace also has previous experience in the universe, doing voice-over for Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and he even won a BAFTA Games Award in 2012 for his performance in Thomas Was Alone. It’s clear that Assassin’s Creed Gold is already off to a good start with such minds working on the project and we’re looking forward to the February release.
