CrossFireX Exploding onto Xbox One

CrossFireX Releasing Exclusively for the Xbox One in 2020

During Xbox’s XO19 event in London, the long running PC series CrossFire was revealed to be coming exclusively to Xbox One in the form of CrossFireX. The game delivers an intense FPS experience where gamers are stuck in a global conflict between two formidable private military factions. The Global Risk uses powerful armed forces who use advanced technologies to fight for order and security and Black List uses guerrilla tactics and fight to destabilize oppressive regimes. Gamers will choose a side in this conflict to complete objective-based missions across a variety of modes. When CrossfireX releases in 2020, it will be free to play for all Xbox One owners.

CrossFireX

CrossfireX features tightly crafted gameplay and cinematic visuals.to transition the classic PC series to console in a big way. The game is created by the combined efforts of three developers: Smilegate Entertainment, Remedy Entertainment and Xbox Games Studios. Smilegate Entertainment from Seoul, South Korea, brings a decade of expertise in crafting innovative multiplayer content and the gameplay showed off at XO19 certainly looked fluid. Remedy Entertainment in Espoo, Finland, brings narrative expertise from games such as Alan Wake and Control to craft an intense single player campaign for CrossFireX. Xbox Games Studios brings CrossFire to consoles for the first time when CrossFireX releases in 2020.

We’re looking forward to another military FPS to sink our teeth into in 2020 as CrossFireX looks more like a spiritual successor to Counter Strike than something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It’ll be interesting to see how well the campaign of the game ties into the multiplayer with Smilegate and Remedy working together to make sure the factions are expressed across both aspects of the game.
