Smilegate West has announced its first Free-to-Play Weekend event where all new players can receive the following two bonus items the M4A1 Liberty (7d) and the Dual D.E. Red Vein (7d). The current players will receive 1d versions of the items. The event is set to begin on February 7th, 2015, and will end on February 8, 2015.
Some of the main features of CrossFire are the fast-paced, light, and intuitive combat mechanics reminiscent of retro military first person shooters, the regular updates that have kept gameplay fresh for players over the years, and a massive selection of weapons, maps, and modes. With this Free-to-Play Weekend event, new players will be able to even the odds with the new bonus items and battle against other combat-hardened veterans.
While classic modes, such as Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy are some of the crowd favorites, new maps and modes have been added recently including the Devastated City map, a cooperative Zombie Mode map where a team of five takes on hordes of zombies with the final climactic boss encounter at the end, and the Wave Mode, which is CrossFire’s take on the popular MOBA genre where players can choose a unique class and push lanes, eventually taking over the enemy’s base.
