October’s Mario Kart Tour Event Adds More Content to the Mobile Title
After seeing a massively successful launch for Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo is adding their first major update in October with the Tokyo Event which adds new content. Alongside fourteen new characters are tons of new items, costumes and courses. Mario Kart Tour is currently available on Android and iOS while the October Tokyo Event is available now until the 23rd.
The new courses being added to Mario Kart Tour with the Tokyo Event are: Kalimari Desert, Neo Bowser City, Tokyo Blur, Rainbow Road and the 3DS version of Mario Circuit. The following characters have been added to Mario Kart Tour with the recent update:
- Baby Rosalina
- Bowser Jr
- Iggy
- Lakitu
- Larry
- Lemmy
- Ludwig
- Mario (Hakama)
- Morton
- Peach (Kimono)
- Rosalina
- Roy
- Wario
- Wendy
Several karts are being added to the game with this update such as:
- Biddybuggy
- Black Circuit
- Blue Biddubuggy
- Cheep Charger
- Circuit Special
- Cloud 9
- DK Jumbo (Chrome)
- Kabuki Dasher
- Koopa Clown
- Landship
- Quickshaw
- Royale
With new karts comes new gliders which are essential for going airborne on the go:
- BBIA Parafoil
- Cloud Glider
- Droplet Glider
- Full Flight
- Lightning Oilpaper
- Oilpaper Umbrella
- Paper Glider
- Purple Oilpaper Umbrella
- Wario Wing
Out of all of the new characters, we’re the most excited about Wario due to the fact that he’s been part of the Mario Kart franchise since Mario Kart 64. Most of the other customization is mostly cosmetic for us but who doesn’t love the Cheep Charger?
