PAX Australia was Greeted With New Cyberpunk 2077 Demo
New gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 showed off various abilities during a PAX Australia presentation including an ability called Demon Software and another called Nano Wire. CD Projekt Red is getting creative with these abilities as Demon Software allows gamers to take control of enemy AI, forcing them to beat themselves. The Nano Wire ability is more versatile, helping gamers hack or connect with enemies to attack others using their body. Cyberpunk 2077 releases for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia on April 16th 2020.
The Demon Software and Nano Wire abilities has us thinking about the potentials of hacking talents in Cyberpunk 2077 and what other abilities the game will include. The creativity of being not only able to hack an enemy AI but to either get them to beat themselves up or beat up their friends shows off the attention to detail that’s been put into the game. CD Projekt Red is clearly looking at creative things to do with their abilities as well as the typical combat enhancers we expect. These hacking abilities will apparently compliment the stealth gameplay style.
During PAX Australia a single mission was shown over a fifty minute presentation which did have some re-treading of content so it could be narrowed down to a half-hour presentation. Most of the demo included content gamers already saw at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The mission comes from one of the six districts of Night City which is a city with many layers of verticality, giving gamers a lot of space to explore during their missions.
