The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Upgrade Uses Some NSFW Textures

Situation Is Being Undressed-I Mean, Addressed

CDPR has been caught with their pants down, in a manner of speaking. We all know that their 2015 hit The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt recently got upgraded. The fantasy game has been revamped on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but not without an “unintended result.”

Many females characters and models in the next-gen upgrade features, shall we say, detailed anatomy. The original version of The Witcher 3 contains nudity, but these models take it to new levels. Character models, like Ciri, Yennefer, the (NSFW link) Crones of Crookback Bog, and other women detailed genitals and pubic hair.

The Witcher 3

Gamers appreciate fine things like accuracy and artistic nudity, but how did this happen? Well, according to a statement to Kotaku, this was a result of layering community mods into the next-gen upgrade.

If you are familiar with the modding community, or the internet at large, you know the extent that people will go to for sexual content. The Witcher 3 has a rich modding community, full of graphical enhancements, UI improvements, and tiddies.

CDPR collaborated with popular modders and their mods to achieve the results of the next-gen upgrade. Evidently, some of the mods used were textures that included nudity. Strip back some of these layers (pun intended) and you get a freshly-shaven Yennefer or Ciri with a landing strip.

You know, CDPR, maybe somethings are better left broken. I for one, intend on playing the game as the developers intended. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
